What certification will I receive after the course?
You will receive a 'Basic Windsurfing Certificate' from the Goa Sailing Association, recognized by the Indian Windsurfing Federation. The certificate qualifies you to rent windsurfing equipment at basic level at most Indian beaches. No international certification (like IKO) but valid for local use. Book on GoaNearby.In.
What does the 2-day course cover?
Day 1 (4 hours): theory (wind, rigging), beach simulator training, water start practice. Day 2 (4 hours): balance, steering, tacking, and independent sailing. Each day includes breaks. All equipment (board, sail, wetsuit, harness) provided. Maximum 4 students per instructor. Small group ensures attention.
Do I need to be physically fit?
Windsurfing requires core strength and endurance. You should be able to swim 50 meters and be comfortable in water. People with back problems or recent injuries should avoid. A basic fitness level is required. If unsure, call +918180951176 to discuss. We can arrange a 1-hour trial before the course (₹1500).
Is accommodation or transport included?
Neither is included. The course runs from 9 AM to 1 PM each day at Bambolim beach. Transport can be arranged via our partner pavancab.com – WhatsApp +918180951176. For accommodation, we have partner hotels nearby (ask for discount). You must arrange your own stay and meals.
What happens if it rains or there is no wind on a day?
If there is no wind (less than 8 knots), we conduct theory and land simulator training. The day still counts. If there is dangerous wind (above 25 knots) or lightning, we cancel the session and add a make-up day at no extra cost. You must be flexible. No refunds for missed days due to personal reasons.
