Experience the serene beauty and vibrant energy of one of Goa's most iconic coastal gems.
"Galgibaga beach is located in South Goa, and is widely known for the Olive Ridley turtles."
The best time to visit Galgibaga Beach is from October to March, when the weather is dry and pleasant, and the sea is calm enough for swimming. Known as a turtle nesting site, this is also the time when Olive Ridley turtles arrive (nesting peaks from November to January). You can enjoy a pristine, uncrowded beach while respecting conservation rules.
From April to May, the heat increases, but the beach remains very quiet. Turtle nesting ends by March, so you won’t see hatchlings, but you can still enjoy the untouched beauty. Carry your own water and snacks as shacks are very limited. Early morning or late evening visits are recommended.
The monsoon season (June to September) brings heavy rains and rough seas, making access difficult and swimming dangerous. The beach is often closed for conservation during this period, and the river mouth can swell. It is best to avoid visiting during the monsoon unless you are a researcher.
