Experience the serene beauty and vibrant energy of one of Goa's most iconic coastal gems.
"Morjim Beach, located in North Goa, is a serene and picturesque destination known for its golden sands, swaying palm trees, and calm waters. Often referred to as "Little Russia" due to its popularity among Russian tourists, the beach is also a nesting site for Olive Ridley turtles, offering a mix of relaxation and ecological significance. Its tranquil atmosphere makes it ideal for sunbathing, yoga, or enjoying the laid-back beach shacks."
The best time to visit Morjim Beach is from October to March, when the weather is dry and pleasant, and the sea is calm enough for swimming. Known as 'Little Russia' due to its popularity among Russian tourists, Morjim is also a nesting site for Olive Ridley turtles. You can enjoy beach shacks, water sports, and birdwatching.
From April to May, the heat intensifies, but the crowds thin out, offering a more relaxed vibe. Turtle nesting season ends by March, but the beach remains clean and quiet. Mornings and evenings are best for visits, and you can still find good Russian and Goan cuisine at open shacks.
The monsoon season (June to September) brings heavy rains and rough seas, making swimming unsafe. Many shacks close, and the beach becomes a haven for solitude seekers. The surrounding area turns lush green, and it’s a good time for photography, but water activities are completely unavailable.
