St. Alex church

Located in the village of Curtorim it is amongst the oldest churches in Goa. It was built in 1597 and rebuilt in 1647 in contemporary 18th century 18th century styled design.

Our Lady of Hope Church Goa

Known locally as Candolim church, Our Lady of Hope Church, Candolim, Goa is called ‘Nossa Senhora da Esperança Igreja em Candolim, Goa’ in Portuguese.

Mae de Deus Church

St. Michael’s Church Taleigao

Popularly known as Taleigao Church, was founded by the Dominican order in Goa in 1544. It is amongst the oldest churches in Goa.

Our Lady of Health Church

Popularly known as Sancoale church, it was built initially in 1606 and was dedicated to our lady of good health. This church however caught fire in 1834 yet Its frontispiece, still stands on the bank of the Zuari river.

St. Anthony Church

St Anthony Church, Siolim, is called ‘Santo Antônio Igreja em Siolim, in Portuguese. It is popularly called ‘The Siolim church’. The St. Anthony Church, Siolim was the second church built in Siolim, whose foundations were laid in 1600.

St. Diogo church

Dedicated to saint Diogo, the church is located in village of Guirim at foot of the hill. It was built by Franciscan in 1604. It was built in Mannerist Neo-Roman style.

Cavelossim Church

Reis magos church

Reis magos in Portuguese means 3 wise men. Located in the small hamlet of Reis Magos, it was built in 1555 by Fransiscan friars. This is amongst the oldest churches in Goa.

Holy Spirit church

The Church of Holy Spirit was first built in 1564 by Jesuit missionaries who arrived in India mainly from Europe. It was the first church to be ever built in Margao but was destroyed during the Muslim invasion in 1571.
